Few words about me

My name is Lynne McCormick. I'm a twenty-two year old 3D Artist from Glasgow, Scotland. I love all things technology, and always try to keep up with the latest gadgets. My other hobbies include: photography, gaming, sketching, reading, going to gigs, going to the cinema and playing guitar. Music is a huge part of my life, and I listen to a variety of different styles. When working on my 3D projects I particularly enjoy listening to epic film soundtracks.

What I do

I studied Computer Animation for four years at the University of the West of Scotland. I graduated in 2010 with a 2.1 BSc Honours Degree, and I'm currently working on building up my portfolio and seeking full-time work. I am currently available for freelance work and you can check out my previous work here.

I have had an interest in animation ever since seeing Toy Story for the first time as a child. I'm highly self-motivated, and am constantly working on new ideas. My strengths are in 3D Visualization, and I love working on interior designs in particular. I have a true passion for what I do and I'm always trying to challenge myself.

I love to create high quality stills and enjoy the challenge of making them as realistic as possible. Throughout university we learned Lightwave 3D and used After Effects for compositing. However since leaving, I have taught myself many more 3D programs, listed to the left. I am a fast learner and enjoy the challenge of learning something new. As well as providing 3D services, I am also able to do sketches, concept art, storyboards, visual effects and compositing. Feel free to contact me regarding any of the services I offer.

3D Showreel

This video is a collection of all of my best CG work that I have completed to date. I regularly keep this up to date, adding new work when completed.

3D interiors, texturing, lighting, and rendering was completed in Autodesk Maya and mental ray. All 3D exterior environments were created using e-on Vue. The sports car was textured, lit and rendered using Autodesk Maya, and mental ray.

Character animation, lighting and rendering was created using Lightwave 3D. The camera advert was textured, lit and rendered in Lightwave 3D, and compositing was completed using Adobe After Effects.

This piece of animation was commissioned by The Little Rocket Company. They wanted an animation showcasing their product. The modelling, texturing, animation, and rendering was created using Autodesk Maya and mental ray. The animation was then composited together using Adobe After Effects.
